All full-time students have a personal tutor, who will help you settle into your studies and get through any difficulties you might have. International students can also take advantage of the university’s English for Academic Purposes modules, which aim to improve non-native speakers’ academic English skills – vital for writing essays, giving presentations, etc.
Student Accommodation at University of Westminster
The University offers self-catering halls of residence around London and several other options to help support you in finding accommodation which suits your needs. Costs for university halls of residence are approximately £198-£295 per week depending on room size and location.
The University of Westminster’s Student Accommodation Team can also help you with a variety of housing issues. As well as providing University halls of residence, the team can assist you in your search for alternative accommodation. They also offer advice about issues such as tenancy agreements and dealing with landlords.

The University of Westminster has three campuses in the heart of London and one in the leafy borough of Harrow in North West London.
Westminster’s excellent facilities include 24-hour libraries, state-of-the-art science laboratories, advanced IT services, online learning resources, art, design, film and TV studios, world-class audio recording studios, galleries, sports and recreational facilities, as well as one of the few Bloomberg Financial Markets Suites in the UK.
The university’s dedicated architecture, art and design spaces include specialist workshops for wood, metal, moulding, casting, photography and ceramics, and a new cutting-edge digital Fabrication Laboratory that offers a suite of 3D printers and laser cutters.

Sports & Clubs at University of Westminster
The Students’ Union is home to societies in everything, ranging from football, rugby and hockey to yoga and musical theatre. The Students’ Union boasts over 100 dedicated sports clubs and societies with over 520 society events organised last year.A range of sports and fitness facilities are provided at the university as well as activities for students free of charge. These excellent facilities include:
Harrow Sports Hall and gym – The newest sports complex at the University, which opened its doors in January 2024. One of the leading sports hall venues in the country, it hosts basketball, volleyball, and netball. With a seating capacity of 180 and the latest lighting and music systems, it truly offers an exceptional experience. The Den also boasts a strength and conditioning gym equipped with the latest equipment.
Regent Street gym – This gym offers cardio and weights facilities as well as clean and pleasant changing, shower and locker facilities. Highly qualified and experienced fitness instructors are on hand to offer advice and personal training.
Chiswick sports ground – The 45-acre Quintin Hogg Sports Ground at Chiswick includes football, rugby, cricket and hockey pitches, netball courts, tennis courts, and a boathouse.
