To apply for a Student Visa in the UK, you must have first accepted an offer from the university in which you want to study at. Once you have accepted the offer, your university will provide you with your “Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)” which you will need before you start your visa application.
You must also have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course. To do this, you will have to include financial documents such as bank statements and tax in your application. If the financial support is provided by parents, guardians or anyone else, you will also have to provide letters and proof of relationship to the person who is funding your studies.
To apply for a Student Visa from outside of the UK costs £363, and to extend or switch to a Student Visa from within the UK costs £490. Additional costs may also apply and an interview with an immigration officer may be required.
