NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) Computer Science module has received official accreditation from the British Computer Society (BCS) Teach10. This recognition marks a significant achievement for NCUK, enhancing the educational journey for aspiring computer science graduates.
The British Computer Society, known as The Chartered Institute for IT, is the largest professional body for IT practitioners worldwide, boasting over 70,000 members. BCS accreditation is recognised as a benchmark for quality in the technology sector and ensures that the NCUK Computer Science curriculum meets the latest industry standards.
Effective from the 2024-25 academic year, every student who successfully completes the Computer Science module will receive a complimentary BCS/NCUK digital badge. This badge serves as a valuable addition to their professional profiles and applications. It will represent their achievements and skills acquired during their studies.
In addition to the digital badge, students will also get access to special BCS resources. These resources will help them grow both personally and professionally. This support brings them one step closer to becoming Chartered IT Professionals. Thus, it proves quality and excellence for all students enrolled in the International Foundation Year Computer Science module.
As an accredited NCUK Study Centre, MIE Pathways is aligned to offer students a high-quality Computer Science education that meets industry standards in the IFY Computer Science module.
