NCUK’s 16 University Partners Ranked in THE World University Rankings 2025

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 have revealed the top universities worldwide and their achievements. 16 NCUK's university partners' names came up to highlight their remarkable standings among global institutions. This year’s evaluation included over 2,000 institutions from 115 countries and territories, showcasing the diversity and quality of higher education globally.


The rankings for NCUK university partners are as follows:


  • The University of Manchester: 53rd
  • University of Bristol: 78th
  • UNSW Sydney (The University of New South Wales): 83rd
  • University of Birmingham: 93rd
  • The University of Sheffield: 98th

Additionally, 11 other partner universities have secured positions within the Top 200:


  • University of Alberta: 116th
  • University of Auckland: 152nd
  • Durham University: 172nd
  • University of Exeter: 172nd
  • Lancaster University: 168th
  • University of Leeds: 123rd
  • University of Liverpool: 160th
  • Queen Mary University of London: 141st
  • The University of Western Australia: 149th
  • University of York: 146th
  • University of Leicester: 191st
