Student Support at Newcastle University

From your first day on campus you’ll be connected to a network of support. Through Newcastle’s dedicated Student Services hub you’ll access the expert advice, information and care you need.

The university’s dedicated wellbeing consultancy team helps you access the support you need, as well as offering School-based wellbeing advice and counselling support. Newcastle also runs health and wellbeing events ranging from awareness days to health fairs and drop-in sessions. Or you can access online wellbeing workshops and programmes, downloading self-help resources and apps such as iNCLude for 24/7 support.

Access advice if you’re making your Student visa application in your home country, or support if you’re applying while in the UK. You will be offered guidance on the EU Settlement Scheme and will continue to support you on visa and immigration issues throughout your studies.

Student Accommodation at Newcastle University

The self-catering student villages are in great locations, either within a 20-minute walk to campus, or close to public transport links giving easy access to the University and city centre. Featuring residences ranging from Victorian houses to modern city-centre apartments, they each have their own character and style.

You’ll choose from:

• -Rooms with private washbasins, but shared toilet and shower facilities
• -Rooms with en suite facilities

There is also a range of accessible accommodation and a limited number of self-contained studios. Rooms are clustered into flats with contemporary kitchens and comfy chill-out areas as standard. All residences have designated laundry rooms with some also featuring study zones, games areas, communal spaces, 24/7 security, and other great facilities.
